Reed Burkett Lighting Design (RBLD)
Client: An established lighting design firm based in St. Louis, MO.
Target audience: Architects and building owners in Chicagoland and the greater Midwest.
Challenge: RBLD acquired a competitor in Chicago to expand its reach within the Midwest. For the merger, they hired Linda to consult on a naming strategy and market positioning and provide messaging and copy development.
Solution: Linda tapped resources within her network experienced with mergers and acquisitions and recommended a hybrid naming solution that would be in place for six to 12 months, depending on market feedback. A foundational announcement was crafted, including quotes from key principals involved and information on the leadership structure for the newly expanded firm.
This document was adapted into a media release and LinkedIn announcements posted to the company pages of RBLD and the acquired firm. Introductory copy was also created for four principals to share the announcement with their personal LinkedIn networks.
